IC Quoting App is an internal business tool built and operated by Interactive Controls for its own staff. It is used to prepare customer quotes, manage stock and project documentation, and export approved quotes to Interactive Controls’ own QuickBooks Online company as Estimates. It is not offered, licensed, or made available to any other company or the general public.
Privacy Policy
What data the app accesses in QuickBooks Online
- Reads: Products/Services (Items), Customers, Tax Codes, and Income Accounts, in order to let staff map Interactive Controls’ own products and customers to the matching QuickBooks records.
- Writes: creates new Products/Services (Items) and Customers when a staff member explicitly chooses to create one from within the app, and creates or updates Estimates when a staff member exports a quote.
How the connection works
- Access is established via QuickBooks’ standard OAuth 2.0 authorization — a staff member with administrator access signs in to QuickBooks directly and grants access; Interactive Controls never sees or stores the QuickBooks account password.
- The resulting access and refresh tokens are stored only in Interactive Controls’ own private database, on infrastructure Interactive Controls controls. They are never transmitted to any third party.
- Only authenticated administrators of the IC Quoting App can view connection status or trigger an export.
Data retention and deletion
- QuickBooks access/refresh tokens are retained only for as long as the connection remains active.
- An administrator can disconnect the QuickBooks integration at any time from within the app, which immediately deletes the stored tokens.
Sharing
No data obtained from QuickBooks Online is sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party. It is used solely to support Interactive Controls’ own internal quoting and accounting workflow.
Terms of Use
- IC Quoting App is provided solely for internal use by Interactive Controls staff and is not distributed, resold, or made available to any other organization.
- Access is restricted to authorized Interactive Controls personnel via individual login credentials.
- The application is provided “as is” for internal operational use; Interactive Controls is responsible for its own configuration, data accuracy, and use of the QuickBooks Online integration.
